Summer heat can be hard on gardens — and sometimes on us too. When temperatures rise, many people water more, but the secret to healthier plants isn’t always more water — it’s smarter care.

 

Early morning watering helps roots absorb moisture before the heat of the day steals it away. Adding mulch around plants can also help lock in moisture and reduce weeds, saving you time and frustration later.

 

And don’t forget pruning. Just like trimming away stress in life, removing dead leaves or overgrown branches helps plants focus energy where it matters most — producing stronger growth, brighter blooms, and healthier vegetables.

 

The same lesson applies to us. Sometimes thriving means stepping back, clearing out what no longer serves us, and making room for growth.
