Big Move Alert: Care & Share Is Shaking Up Harleysville With a Brand-New Home!
A fresh chapter begins as Care & Share finds a new home — and a bigger vision for the community.
After more than five decades in the Souderton Shopping Center, Care & Share is preparing for an exciting new beginning. The nonprofit thrift organization plans to relocate in 2026 to a larger facility in Harleysville, bringing all of its retail and donation operations together under one roof.
The new location, on the former Harleysville Insurance campus along Route 113, will provide approximately 130,000 square feet of space—more than twice the size of its current location. The expanded facility will include a centralized donation center, improved parking, and a layout designed to make volunteering and daily operations more efficient.
Care & Share has contributed more than $21 million to support the work of Mennonite Central Committee while also helping local families through partnerships with community organizations. Leaders say the move reflects changing volunteer trends and the need for a more practical, collaborative workspace.
A late spring opening is expected, and the organization looks forward to welcoming shoppers, donors, volunteers, and new visitors to its next chapter in Harleysville. |
