Teen Killed, Three Injured After Route 422 Pursuit

A tragic crash early Saturday morning claimed the life of an 18-year-old and left three others injured following a police pursuit along Route 422 in Montgomery County.

According to authorities, the incident began in the early morning hours of Feb. 14 in Limerick Township, when state police attempted to stop a Kia traveling eastbound for reported traffic violations. Officials say the driver failed to pull over, leading troopers on a pursuit that continued into Upper Merion Township.

The chase ended when the vehicle struck a concrete highway barrier. The 18-year-old driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Three additional male passengers sustained injuries and were transported for medical care.

Investigators believe the vehicle involved may have been stolen. The crash remains under investigation.
