Trappe Tragedy Turns Into Murder Case
Initial 911 call raises serious questions after investigation reveals new evidence
Trappe Tragedy Turns Into Murder Case A disturbing case out of Trappe has taken a dramatic turn after Montgomery County prosecutors charged a 23-year-old man in connection with his father’s death. Authorities say Justin Wilson initially contacted 911 in the early hours of February 1, reporting that his father had taken his own life. However, when Pennsylvania State Police arrived at the home, they reportedly found signs that didn’t match that claim. Investigators noted evidence suggesting a struggle, along with visible blood on the suspect’s clothing. The victim, 61-year-old Kevin Wilson, was discovered with a fatal gunshot wound. After further review, the medical examiner ruled the death a homicide—not consistent with a self-inflicted injury. According to prosecutors, the firearm used in the incident had been purchased by Justin Wilson just weeks earlier in January. As of May 1, 2026, Wilson has been formally charged with first-degree murder, along with additional offenses including making a false report and tampering with evidence. He remains in custody after being denied bail. This case is still developing, and no defense attorney has been listed in court records at this time. |
