Starting New
Sometimes a fresh start doesn’t begin with planting something new—it begins with clearing out what’s already there.
This week, I started working on the space behind my shed. Before anything could grow, I had to pull the weeds… and the one that showed up everywhere was the dandelion.
Most of us see it as something to remove, but dandelions are surprisingly beneficial. Their greens are rich in vitamins A, C, and K, and have long been used to support digestion and overall wellness. It’s a reminder that even the things we overlook—or try to get rid of—can still hold value.
Still, they don’t belong in this garden.
And that’s the point.
New beginnings aren’t just about adding more—they’re about making space. Clearing out what no longer serves us, even if it once had a purpose.
