COLMAR — HealthSpark Foundation has announced $400,000 in grants to 17 Montgomery County nonprofits addressing housing and community needs.
The Building Community Solutions Fund awarded $260,000 to nine housing justice organizations including Habitat for Humanity (King of Prussia), Family Promise Montco PA (Ambler), and Pottstown Beacon of Hope.
The Building Community Power Fund granted $140,000 to eight social service organizations including Peaceful Living (Harleysville), Woori Center (Lansdale), and YWCA Tri-County Area (Pottstown).
"Right now, our federal government is not stepping up and providing those social services that they have for decades," said Foundation CEO Emma Hertz. "So for us at HealthSpark, now is the time to be giving more."
Since 2002, HealthSpark has made over $18 million in grants to 226 organizations across Montgomery County.
