Three new dining spots are opening this month
Montgomery County food lovers may have a few new reasons to dine out this month as three new restaurants prepare to open in Fort Washington, Conshohocken, and Horsham.
In Fort Washington, Chef Jeffrey Power, formerly of Ambler’s Dettera restaurant, is opening Academy Grill on South Bethlehem Pike. The restaurant is expected to feature an Italian-inspired menu with seafood, steaks, and house-made pasta in the former Cantina Feliz location.
Meanwhile, Conshohocken is welcoming Rick’s Tavern on West Seventh Avenue. Led by Chef Derek Davis, the neighborhood spot is expected to offer an Italian-leaning menu featuring pizza, fresh pasta, cocktails, and wine in a polished tavern setting.
Over in Horsham, Scratch Kitchen by Gallo’s is taking over the former Farm & Fisherman space on Horsham Road. The restaurant comes from the team behind Gallo’s Seafood and is expected to bring a seafood-forward, made-from-scratch menu with a neighborhood gathering place feel.
New restaurant openings often bring more than fresh menu options — they can also create jobs, boost nearby shopping areas, and give residents new local favorites to explore. With three very different dining experiences on the way, Montgomery County’s restaurant scene continues to grow.
