Montgomery County Gas Prices Climb Toward 2022 Peak Levels

MONTGOMERY COUNTY — Gas prices are climbing back toward 2022 peak levels, with local stations now matching prices seen during the record surge of two years ago.

A photo from 2022 shows a Royal Farms station at $4.45⁹/₁₀ per gallon for regular and $5.25⁹/₁₀ for diesel—prices that are once again appearing at pumps across Montgomery County.

During the summer of 2022, national averages briefly exceeded $5 per gallon. Today, local drivers filling a 15-gallon tank are paying approximately $67, mirroring costs from that peak period.

Local delivery services and contractors are particularly feeling the squeeze, with many passing increased fuel costs to customers.
