School Bus Driver's Shocking Charges Rock Douglas Township

A recent incident in Douglass Township serves as an important reminder of how valuable community awareness can be.

According to the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office, a local school bus driver has been charged after allegedly driving erratically while transporting 54 elementary-aged children. Police responded after reports that the bus was swerving, nearly striking vehicles and almost hitting a telephone pole before coming to a stop in a snowbank.

Officials say several children reportedly texted or called their parents during the ride because they felt unsafe. Thankfully, no injuries were reported.

Stories like this remind us that Montgomery County is strongest when neighbors speak up and look out for one another. Whether it’s reporting unsafe behavior, supporting local schools, or simply checking in on our community, staying connected matters.

At Montco ProBiz Buzz, we believe local relationships and community trust are what make our neighborhoods stronger. Businesses, families, and residents all play a role in keeping Montgomery County a place where people feel safe and supported.

Sometimes the biggest difference starts with someone noticing something isn’t right — and taking action.
