Todi’s Place of Hope Opens in Lansdale |
County and local leaders unite to address homelessness |
A major step forward for the North Penn community! Officials celebrated the ribbon cutting of Todi’s Place of Hope, a new 20-bed short-term supportive housing facility at 1107 E. Main Street, which officially opened Monday.
Currie Teoh said the borough had seen an increase in residents experiencing homelessness. The center provides 60–90 day stays for adults experiencing homelessness, along with meals, mental health support, job training, benefits assistance, and veterans services — all focused on helping residents transition quickly into permanent housing.
She noted that local and county leaders shared a unified vision, with commissioners fully backing the effort to make the project a reality. County officials praised the strong partnership with Lansdale, saying the collaboration made the development possible.
Montgomery County committed $2.6 million toward construction and operations and signed a 10-year lease for the 4,800-square-foot facility. Officials described the project as a strong example of municipal and county collaboration — and a meaningful step toward ensuring every neighbor has access to dignity, stability, and hope. |
