Trivia Question❓Which famous American author resided in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania and drew inspiration from the surrounding scenery for his novel "The Last of the Mohicans"? Answer at the bottom of the newsletter |
Montgomery County awoke Monday to a winter wonderland as a major snowstorm brought double-digit accumulations across the region.
Willow Grove topped local totals with 13.2 inches, while Skippack Township saw 12.8 inches and Norristown measured 12.2 inches.
Areas like Penn Wynne, Conshohocken, and New Hanover Township also reported heavy snow, ranging from 10.5 to 8.4 inches. King of Prussia and Lansdale each received nearly 8 inches, turning communities into scenes straight from a snow globe.
The overnight storm created difficult travel conditions, prompting school delays and keeping road crews busy with salting and plowing. Even as main roads improved, officials warned drivers to stay alert for icy patches, especially on untreated back roads and bridges.
Residents made the most of the snow day, filling neighborhood hills with sledders and soaking up the crisp winter beauty.
Forecasters caution that cold temperatures will keep icy spots lingering, with the chance for more light snow later this week. Read More... |
One of the saddest parts of reading is reaching the end of a great story. You get hooked, fall in love with the characters and the world, and then suddenly… it’s over. You’re left wishing it could go on just a little longer.
That’s why book series are the best. The story keeps unfolding, the characters develop and grow, and the joy of reading continues. Below are some of my favorite book series that will grab your attention and make you fall in love with both the characters and the storyline: • Shelby Nichols Adventure by Colleen Helme Never a dull moment when the main character can read minds. • The Sinclairs by J. S. Scott A great pick for romance lovers—very spicy. • The First Wives by Catherine Bybee Strong, independent women and their love stories. • Carly Moore Mystery by Denise Grover Swank Features a woman trying to hide her true identity—great mystery series. • Knockemout by Lucy Score Small-town romance. Book three is my favorite—Lucian (a.k.a. “Suit Daddy”) stole my heart. Read More... |
