Trivia Question❓

In what year was Montgomery County, Pennsylvania officially established by the state legislature, making it one of the earliest counties carved out of Philadelphia County?

Answer at the bottom of the newsletter

As the FIFA World Cup came to an exciting close Sunday 7/19/26, the tournament left a lasting impact far beyond the stadiums. While Philadelphia welcomed fans from around the world, Montgomery County businesses also shared in the excitement and economic benefits.

Many visitors chose to stay in Montgomery County hotels, dine at local restaurants, shop at destinations like King of Prussia, and explore the area’s attractions before and after matches. Throughout the tournament, businesses across the county experienced increased foot traffic as international and domestic travelers looked for places to eat, relax, and enjoy everything the region has to offer.

The World Cup served as a reminder that major events can create meaningful opportunities for local communities. Whether it was a family discovering a new restaurant, visitors extending their stay to explore the county, or retailers welcoming customers from across the globe, Montgomery County businesses had the chance to showcase their hospitality and strengthen the local economy.

As the final match is now in the history books, the tournament leaves behind more than unforgettable soccer moments—it also leaves a positive reminder that when the world comes to our region, Montgomery County is ready to welcome it.

Artificial intelligence has come a long way from simply answering questions. Today’s AI agents can actually perform tasks on your behalf. Think of them as digital assistants that don’t just give advice—they take action.

An AI agent can answer customer inquiries, schedule appointments, send follow-up emails, organize leads, generate social media posts, and even help manage projects. Instead of switching between multiple apps, business owners can use AI to automate repetitive work and free up time to focus on serving customers and growing their business.

The best part is that AI agents aren’t just for large corporations anymore. Affordable tools are now available for small businesses, contractors, retailers, and service professionals. Whether you’re running a cleaning company, real estate business, restaurant, or local shop, AI can help improve efficiency while delivering faster, more consistent customer service.

As AI technology continues to evolve, businesses that learn how to use these tools will have a competitive advantage. The goal isn’t to replace people—it’s to help people work smarter. For many small businesses, an AI agent may soon become one of the most valuable members of the team.

Quote Of The Day

"The places that shape us most are rarely the ones that shout their names — they are the quiet counties, the unhurried roads, the neighbors who remember your grandmother."

The Upper Perkiomen School District has approved its 2026–2027 budget, and with it comes a small increase in the school property tax rate. The $88.17 million budget passed by a narrow 5–4 vote after weeks of discussion and public concern. To help balance the budget, the district will also use about $2.2 million from its reserve fund while keeping approximately $2.8 million in savings.

The June meeting drew a large crowd of residents, many hoping to ask questions before the vote. When the public comment period was closed, some attendees expressed frustration, while board members said they faced difficult choices as expenses continued to rise.

So what does this mean for the average homeowner?

Let’s look at a simple example. Imagine you own a home with a $200,000 mortgage at 6% interest, pay about $1,500 per year for homeowners insurance, and your annual real estate taxes are $5,000. A 0.75% increase in that $5,000 tax bill works out to about $37.50 more per year—or roughly $3.13 per month. While that amount may not seem large on its own, many families are also dealing with higher costs for groceries, utilities, insurance, and other everyday expenses. It’s the combination of those increases that many homeowners say is making it harder to keep up.

Whether you support the board’s decision or not, one thing is clear: every increase adds to the overall cost of owning a home, making it more important than ever for families to plan their budgets carefully.

Joke Of The Day

Why do GPS systems get nervous driving through Montgomery County, PA?

Too many Main Streets, Dekalb St. becomes Dekalb St., and too many potholes.

After a vacation, it’s tempting to jump right back into work at full speed. But the real value of time away isn’t just the memories you made—it’s the renewed perspective you bring home.

Instead of trying to catch up on everything at once, start with one meaningful task. Let the energy you gained from slowing down guide your next step. A refreshed mind makes better decisions, solves problems more creatively, and often sees opportunities that were easy to miss before.

Vacation reminds us that life isn’t meant to be lived at a constant sprint. The goal isn’t to escape your daily routine—it’s to return to it with fresh eyes and a stronger purpose.
