Artificial intelligence is changing the workplace fast, but the biggest shift may not be mass layoffs overnight. It may be fewer entry-level opportunities, different job requirements, and more pressure on workers to use AI effectively.
Recent Federal Reserve research found that overall hiring has slowed, but it did not find clear evidence that AI alone is causing a broad collapse in job postings. Still, other reporting shows that AI is reshaping certain roles, especially work involving repetitive digital tasks and some entry-level positions.
Bill Gates is warning that governments are not prepared for how quickly this could unfold. Speaking about AI’s impact on jobs and society, Gates said, “I don’t think any government is nearly as deep on this as they have to be.” The takeaway? AI may not simply “take your job.” More likely, it will change how your job is done, and workers who learn to use AI may have an advantage over those who avoid it.
For now, the smartest move may be simple: learn the tools before the tools reshape your role. Read More... |

A major road closure is now underway in Plymouth Township and could affect local traffic for months.
Belvoir Road is closed between Johnson Road and just north of Plymouth Road from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Saturday, while utility construction is completed. The closure began this week and is expected to continue through April 30, 2027.
Drivers are being detoured along Ridge Pike, Fairfield Road/Fornance Street and New Hope Street. Residents have raised concerns about added congestion, particularly near nearby elementary and middle schools.
Although the road reopens each afternoon, drivers traveling through Plymouth Township should expect possible delays and allow extra time when using nearby routes. Read More... |

Last week, we challenged you to add a little more color to your plate. This week, we’re building on it, two colors at one meal. That’s it. No complicated meal plan and no need to completely change what you’re eating. Having eggs for breakfast? Add strawberries and a few blueberries.
Why two colors? Different colored fruits and vegetables tend to provide different vitamins, minerals and plant compounds. The more variety you work into your normal meals, the easier it is to broaden the nutrients you’re getting without turning dinner into a nutrition project.
And remember our rule from last week: we’re still adding, not taking away. THIS WEEK’S DIG IN CHALLENGE
Bonus challenge: Can you get five different colors onto your plate over the course of one day? No perfect eating required. Just keep making the plate a little brighter.. Read More... |
A little cleanup tonight can make tomorrow feel a whole lot easier.
You don’t need to deep-clean your house every night to wake up to a calmer home. A simple 15-minute evening reset can make a surprising difference.
Before you settle in for the night, set a timer and focus only on the areas you’ll notice first in the morning. Load or empty the dishwasher, wipe down the kitchen counters, put away anything sitting out in the main living area, and do a quick pickup of shoes, mail, toys, or other clutter.
Don’t aim for perfection. The goal is simply to give tomorrow’s version of you a cleaner starting point.
And here’s a trick: get the whole household involved. When everyone takes one small area, that 15-minute job can be finished even faster.
Of course, when your home needs more than a quick reset, Montco Cleaning Pros is here to help with the deeper cleaning so you can spend less time catching up and more time enjoying your home. Read More... |
