Upper Merion Community Fair Brings Music, Pumpkins & Fireworks to Heuser Park
King of Prussia welcomed fall in a big way Saturday, October 3, as the Upper Merion Community Fair and Fall Festival brought families and neighbors together at Heuser Park.
The community celebration packed plenty of classic fall fun into one afternoon and evening, with live music, local crafters, food vendors and activities for the whole family. Visitors could enjoy hayrides, pick out pumpkins, get their faces painted and let the kids burn off some energy on the inflatables.
Best of all, admission to the festival was free, making it an easy outing for families looking to enjoy a beautiful October weekend close to home.
As daylight faded, the festivities wrapped up with fireworks at dusk, giving Upper Merion residents a colorful ending to a day centered around community, local vendors and the start of the fall season. Another great reminder that there’s always something happening right here in Montgomery County! Read More... |
Add a little fiber.
Last week, we focused on adding protein to one meal each day. This week, we’re building on that habit by adding something else your body needs: fiber. See last week's article here
Fiber doesn’t have to mean changing your whole meal. Small additions count! Toss berries into your yogurt, add beans to a salad, choose whole-grain bread for your sandwich, or grab an apple, pear, or handful of nuts with your snack.
Already having eggs for breakfast? Add a piece of whole-grain toast or some fruit. Making chicken for dinner? Add broccoli, peas, or a sweet potato.
The goal isn’t to create the “perfect” meal. It’s to keep making the meals you already enjoy a little better, one addition at a time.

Passwords may finally be on their way out. More websites and apps are offering passkeys, a newer way to sign in using the same security already built into your phone or computer—like Face ID, a fingerprint or device PIN.
Why does that matter? Unlike a traditional password, there’s nothing for you to remember, reuse or accidentally hand over through a fake login page. Passkeys are also designed to be resistant to phishing, one of the most common ways criminals steal account credentials.
For small business owners, this could mean fewer forgotten password headaches while adding another layer of protection to important business accounts.
You’ll increasingly see options such as “Sign in with a passkey” when setting up or logging into accounts. You don’t have to abandon every password today, but it’s worth learning what that little button means.
Tech Tip: When a trusted service you already use offers passkeys, take a minute to explore the option. Your face might just become your favorite password.

Cecilia has opened in the former Taphouse 23 location, bringing a fresh dining option to the Montgomery County borough. The opening gives local residents another reason to eat close to home while breathing new life into a familiar restaurant space.
The arrival is also another win for Bridgeport’s growing local business scene. New restaurants don’t just add somewhere new to grab dinner, they can draw visitors into town, create jobs and introduce customers to other nearby businesses. For Montco food lovers, Cecilia is officially one more restaurant to put on the “gotta try it” list. And for local entrepreneurs? It’s another reminder that Montgomery County’s Main Streets are still growing, changing and welcoming new businesses.
